This website, psychology-therapist.today, is owned by Mariel Maguna, who works online from Lisbon (Portugal) and offers emotional wellbeing support and coaching services, remotely. Contact details are in the next section. The site trades as therapist.today.
2. How to get in touch
Email: contact@psychology-therapist.today. It is the valid channel for anything about the site, the service or your data, and the one where complaints are received. We answer on business days. There is no emergency phone line: that is what emergency services are for.
3. What the site is for
To explain the online cognitive behavioural therapy the owner provides, to let you request a first consultation through the intake form, and — for existing patients — to manage appointments, payments and downloadable material from a private dashboard. Nobody buys without an account: the first consultation is arranged by contacting us, not paid for on the site.
4. Terms of use
Access to the site is free, apart from your own connection costs. Using it means accepting this legal notice, the Terms and conditions and the Privacy policy. You may not use the site for unlawful purposes, attempt to reach restricted areas, or interfere with its normal operation.
5. Liability
The content of this site is informational and does NOT replace a professional consultation, a diagnosis or a treatment; nothing published here is clinical advice addressed to a specific person. In a crisis or a situation of risk, call the emergency services: 112 in Europe, 911 in Argentina, or the emergency line of the country you are in. We keep the information up to date, but the site is not guaranteed to be available without interruption or free of errors: it depends on third parties (hosting, payment gateway, email provider) and on the network itself. We are not liable for damage arising from third-party failures, from misuse of the site, or from the content of third-party sites we link to.
6. Intellectual property
The texts, images, photographs, trademarks, design and downloadable material on the site belong to the owner or are used under licence. Reading and downloading for personal use is allowed; reproducing, distributing, publicly communicating or adapting them without written permission is not.
7. Links and third-party services
The site relies on third parties for some functions: Google for signing in with a Google account and for analytics — the latter only if you accepted analytics cookies — and Amazon Web Services for email and file storage. Payment goes through Stripe when your therapist has card payment enabled; if it is a transfer, it goes straight to their account. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
8. Data protection and cookies

9. Applicable law and complaints
The service is provided from Portugal. It is governed by Decree-Law 7/2004 on electronic commerce, by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and by Portuguese and European Union law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. You may lodge a complaint with Portugal's data protection authority, the Comissao Nacional de Protecao de Dados (www.cnpd.pt), or with the authority of your own country, if you believe your data is not being handled properly.
