By using psychology-therapist.today you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the services.
2. Professional services
You can find more about the therapy sessions in the "About" section. The modality is 100% online, via encrypted video call.
3. Sessions
A booking is confirmed by paying in advance, and that payment is not refundable. The first session carries no commitment to continue, but it does carry the commitment to tell us either way. If you confirm that you are starting a therapeutic process, after the first session your chosen weekly slot stays booked continuously — for example, every Tuesday — until you tell us you want to pause or finish.
4. Payments and schedule
Every session is paid in advance: a session goes ahead if it has been paid for. The first one is bought when you book it; from then on the process is held up by buying, at the start of each month and before that month's first session, the sessions you will take: for example, the total of the four sessions matching every Tuesday of the month. The price, currency and length of each session are the ones in your therapist's catalogue, which is the same one the charge is issued from. You pay from the site, through whichever method your therapist has enabled on the platform: it is shown to you when you pay, and if that method asks for a receipt, you upload it from your panel. Card details are handled by the payment gateway; we neither ask for them nor store them.
5. Session packs
A pack is paid once and credits sessions with one specific therapist; it is how your weekly slot is held. Sessions EXPIRE 31 DAYS after purchase, used or not, and are not transferable to another therapist or another person. Once the period lapses, any unused balance is lost. Packs are not refundable once credited; if you could not use them for a reason on our side, write to us and we will sort it out.
6. Cancellation
To cancel a session or the therapy as a whole you need to give at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions already paid for are not refundable. The earlier you tell us, the better.
7. Rescheduling
To reschedule a session you need to give at least 24 hours' notice. Without notice, the session counts as taken and is charged all the same. A given session can be rescheduled only once. You request it from your panel and your therapist confirms it. The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to keep your slot.
8. Commitment to attend
Therapy requires a commitment to attend: the process is held up by both sides, as teamwork. The agreed day and time are the patient's responsibility, and you are expected to manage your attendance at the therapeutic space responsibly.
9. Downloadable material
Ebooks and documents are delivered in your panel immediately after payment, for your personal use. They are not refundable, being digital content with immediate access, and may not be redistributed.
10. Limitation of liability
Therapy is a collaborative process. The professional provides tools and support, but outcomes also depend on patient commitment. This service does not replace emergency psychiatric care.
11. Crises and emergencies
If you are in crisis or at risk, do not wait: call 112 in Europe, 911 in Argentina, or your local emergency line. This service is not urgent care and replies are not immediate.
12. Recommendations you leave on the site
If you write a recommendation from the site, by sending it you agree to it being published on psychology-therapist.today together with the name or initials you typed in the form. Your email address is NOT published: we ask for it so we can write to you if needed. Nothing is published automatically: the therapist reads it and decides. You can ask us to take it down at any time by writing to the contact address; we unpublish it without asking for reasons. How we handle that data is in the Privacy Policy.
13. Modifications
These terms may be modified. We notify all registered users by email at least 30 days in advance.
14. Jurisdiction
The service is provided from Portugal and is governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring a claim before its courts.
